Can I run wide tires on this frame?
Absolutely. The Shorty frame is built with S-bend chainstays specifically to provide ample clearance for "fat" tires. It comfortably fits up to 2.40” tires, ensuring you have plenty of room even if your wheel isn't perfectly true or if you prefer high-volume rubber for street riding.
What are "Investment Cast" parts, and why do they matter?
Investment casting is a high-precision manufacturing process that allows Cult to create complex, single-piece components like the seatstay bridge and dropouts. Unlike traditional welded plates, these cast parts are significantly stronger and provide a much cleaner, more streamlined look while eliminating common weld-weakness points.
Is this frame compatible with brakes?
Yes, the frame features tapered seatstays with removable brake mount holes. This gives you the flexibility to run a clean, "brakeless" look or easily install U-brake hardware if you prefer the control of a rear brake. Please note that the brake mounting hardware is typically sold separately.
