En 1987, el patinaje callejero estaba ganando popularidad rápidamente. Steve Caballero no solo se destacó en el patinaje vertical, sino que también fue uno de los principales contendientes en el circuito "Street-Style". Powell-Peralta decidió introducir un modelo de plataforma de cabina adicional diseñado específicamente para la calle. El artista VC Johnson creó un nuevo gráfico de dragón con un fondo de murciélagos y huesos. El nombre de Cab también se creó en forma de murciélago ya que a Cab le gustaba Batman en ese momento. El logotipo de Powell-Peralta se hizo con la fuente Animal Chin, también un signo de los tiempos.
