Frequently Asked Questions
Who are the Roces Big ZYX Inline Skates Complete specifically designed for?
The Roces Big ZYX Inline Skates Complete is built specifically for riders with larger feet, using a Glass Fiber Reinforced Polypropylene frame able to fit 4 wheels up to 90mm, since Roces notes that skaters with very big feet often have limited options in standard sizing. This makes it a specific solution for a sizing gap many fitness inline skaters run into rather than a general-purpose skate. Riders with average or smaller foot sizes are better served by Roces' standard fitness lines.
What closure system does the Roces Big ZYX Inline Skates Complete use?
The Roces Big ZYX Inline Skates Complete uses a Memory Buckle combined with a Power Strap and a fast lacing system, designed for an easy, precise, and quick closure. The Memory Buckle holds its adjusted shape between sessions, so the skate returns to the same fit without needing to be re-tightened from scratch each time. This combination is aimed at convenience for fitness and recreational skaters rather than the more involved lace-up closures on some performance skates.
What wheel size does the Roces Big ZYX Inline Skates Complete use, and what is it best suited for?
The Roces Big ZYX Inline Skates Complete rolls on 90mm 82A wheels, a larger wheel size suited to fitness skating and covering distance efficiently on smooth pavement and paths. This is categorized by Roces as a fitness-style skate rather than an aggressive or park-focused one, so it prioritizes comfortable, efficient rolling over grinding features. Riders looking for park or street tricks should look at Roces' aggressive lines instead of the Big ZYX.
What does the Cool Breath system on the Roces Big ZYX Inline Skates Complete do?
The Cool Breath system on the Roces Big ZYX Inline Skates Complete is a ventilation feature built into the boot intended to keep the foot cooler and more comfortable during longer skating sessions. This is a common feature on fitness-oriented inline skates, where riders may be out for extended distances rather than short technical sessions. Combined with the Progressive Anatomical Padding and Roces Anatomical Footbed, it is part of the comfort-focused design of this fitness skate.
Is the Roces Big ZYX Inline Skates Complete suitable for beginners?
The Roces Big ZYX Inline Skates Complete's fitness-style design, with an Easy Entry System boot and supportive anatomical footbed, is generally approachable for beginners who have the larger foot size this skate is specifically built to accommodate. Its focus on comfort and easy closure over technical grinding features makes it more suited to casual and fitness skating than aggressive tricks. Riders new to inline skating in general should still expect a learning curve with balance and braking regardless of skate model.
